Yes. Planning a wedding is exciting but stressful. You want everything to be perfect for your guests. A great event doesn’t happen by accident. It takes careful planning by pulling together all the elements of décor, lighting, food and presentation, staging, etc. To make sure everything goes flawlessly, we do more than just show up and play music; we coordinate in advance with your banquet manager and other professionals to make sure everything is just the way you want it.

Whether you’ve always dreamed about a traditional wedding or prefer a more laid-back approach, we take our lead from you. With Rich’s wealth of experience planning weddings, from the formal to the contemporary, he can give you the expert advice and suggestions that make your reception your own. Well before your wedding date we e-mail you a detailed questionnaire covering all the fine points of your reception. After you fill this out and return it to us, we go over every detail with you to make sure we have everything correct. We’re available by phone or e-mail to answer your questions, make suggestions and include any changes you may want.

The bandleader, Rich Posmontier, provides complete MC services. Because of his experience, Rich brings the confidence and spontaneity of a professional to your introductions, announcements and special dances. He personally goes over the details of your timeline and pronunciations of names in advance to provide a glitch-free flow to your reception.

The Rich Posmontier Ensemble features the area’s most talented and seasoned musicians and vocalists. We provide flexible instrumentation according to your taste and budget. The Ensemble consists of lead male and female vocalists, keyboard, bass, drums, guitar, and horns. In addition to our featured vocalists, three of our instrumentalists are also talented lead vocalists. This combination of six singers creates a full blend of melody and harmony for a rich vocal sound. If your plans include classical music for a wedding ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktails, or entertainers, dancers and DJ’s for high-energy, contemporary events, we provide performers from our extensive network of professionals who will be able to fulfill your special requests.

Formal black tie for the men and full-length gowns for the women are standard attire for the Rich Posmontier Ensemble. If your event is more casual, and you’d prefer a less formal look, we’d be happy to arrange that.

Just the right volume. Due to inexperience, many bands are way too loud during dinner. We know your guests want to talk to each other without having to shout. During dinner we keep the volume low with soft ballads and instrumentals. And when we get everyone up on the floor with high energy dance music, we always respond to your requests for volume control.

The Rich Posmontier Ensemble provides a state-of-the-art PA system and performing equipment set up by professional sound technicians who are personally supervised by the bandleader. The equipment arrives 3 hours before your party starts. You won’t see equipment being dragged through your cocktail hour.

You do. We know you want to please your guests with a wide variety of music styles, so we play everything from the most current high energy dance tunes as well as vintage rock n’ roll, Motown, favorites from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, to swing and big band, and specialty and ethnic music. We ask you to select songs from our huge songlist (please see our Songlist for a listing of the music we play), and we’re happy to take special requests. If we don’t know a tune, with eight weeks advance notice, we’ll learn it.

We send out information packets with a demo CD of the band upon request, but it’s best to hear us live! We perform live showcases frequently so you can experience firsthand the energy we create, an energy that makes a great party.

Our rates are determined by the month, day of the week, time of day, number of hours, number of musicians and location. We work with you to give you the best value within your budget. We keep our prices affordable by relying more on the recommendations of our satisfied clients than by doing expensive advertising.
